The Battery Atlanta Celebrates Award Winning ASW Distillery

Known for its exceptional, award-winning spirits, ASW Distillery is the most-awarded craft whiskey distillery at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition since 2018.  At this year’s competition, the distillery was once again a finalist for a top prize at the competition – Best American Single Malt – and additionally received two Double Gold medals in the American Single Malt category. The Battery Atlanta is proud to celebrate ASW Distillery’s remarkable accomplishments and partnership with the organization.

The San Francisco World Spirits Competition stands as one of the most esteemed events in the spirits industry, attracting top distilleries from around the country. ASW Distillery’s first winning entry in 2018, Duality Double Malt Whiskey, is the world’s first double malt and Georgia’s first double gold medal whiskey. ASW Distillery’s success in securing eight double gold medals, nine gold medals, and 2020’s Best Craft Whiskey designation showcase its team’s unwavering commitment to excellence and craftsmanship.

ASW launched in 2011 as the first whiskey distillery in the City of Atlanta since the American Prohibition. Its tasting room and gin and vodka distillery in The Battery Atlanta has become a fan favorite since opening in 2021. The manufacturer has released Fiddler Bourbon, Resurgens Rye, Bustletown Vodka and Winterville Gin. In 2022, ASW launched Fiddler Chin Music, commemorating the Atlanta Braves’ unprecedented 2021 Championship run, as the first in an ongoing series of Fiddler Chin Music releases celebrating the iconic baseball team. The next chapter in the Fiddler Chin Music collaboration – ASW Distillery’s well-known high-wheat mash-bill bourbon finished in toasted barrels – will be released in September 2023.
